Healthy Eating Strategies During Covid-19

  • Keep to an eating and exercise schedule. Avoid grazing all day long.
  • Stock up on healthy food items, not junk food.  Load up on frozen and canned fruits/vegetables, dried beans/grains, and lean meats.
  • Prepare and portion out healthy snacks.
  • Keep portions under control - make 1/2 your plate vegetables, 1/4 carbohydrates, and 1/4 protein.
  • Stay busy to avoid eating out of boredom.
  • Have healthier snack/comfort food options available.  Ideas like low fat chocolate pudding, single servings of dark chocolate, or single serving 100 calorie packs. 
  • Drink more water!
